Microdermabrasion
The Microdermabrasion system was designed by an Italian company, Mattioli Engineering. Physicians gathered over twenty years of invaluable experience and, with an innovative design, created a system that works for everyone desiring radiant, glowing skin. This simple design can carry out a wide range of treatments on a routine basis in a non-invasive, non-surgical environment, both safely and effectively.

Traditionally, patients have undergone chemical peeling and manual deep dermabrasion for the treatments of many skin abnormalities. There are restrictions and difficulties that accompany these common procedures, since they can be painful, require a great deal of "down time" and are relatively expensive.

MicroDermabrasion, on the other hand, is not painful and does not require pre- treatment or topical anesthesia. What most of our patients enjoy is that after treatments, they leave with a clean, fresh glowing skin!

MicroDermabrasion is used to treat a wide variety of skin conditions of the face, including: dull, blemished, thickened, aging skin; persistent acne; acne-scarred skin, broken capillaries; and fine lines, age spots, sun spots, seborrhea and many minor skin conditions.

MicroDermabrasion in several ways: one is performed by "launching" fine crystals jetted directly onto and across the skin. The crystals are immediately vacuumed away along with the loosened dead and damaged skin cells. Another is performed using a vibrating diamond tip, again with immediate vacuuming of the skin debris.

MicroDermabrasion most frequently is used on the face and décolleté, but may be used effectively on other parts of the body….especially the hands and back. Often, a light fruit acid or other peel, or some moisturizing facial or nutritional treatment is added to enhance the therapy.
