Three Basic Programs are available:
~ HARMONY LASER 360 Skin Rejuvenation Protocol –
Three separate procedures
for Color Correction, Skin Tightening and Skin Texture Improvement are given in
6-7 Sessions over a 60 Day period for the most complete
improvement.
~ HARMONY Color + Tightening Protocol –
Three to Five Color Correction
procedures and Two Skin Tightening procedures, including light Exfoliation with
Light MicroDermabrasion, are given over Several Months
time for best results.
~ HARMONY Texture Protocol –
Three to Four Pixel
Treatments, including Exfoliation with Light MicroDermabrasion, are given over
a 60 Day time
period for effective smoothing of lines and improving skin texture.

About the HARMONY PIXELTM
Alma Laser’s new HARMONYPIXEL
technology uses an FDA-approved fractional ablative skin resurfacing laser (2940
Er:YAG) that represents a new option to perform skin
resurfacing on aged and photo-damaged skin.
The benefits delivered by this superior technology are virtually no pain, little or no downtime and faster treatments; whereas a conventional laser can be painful and
creates significant downtime. No messy
blue dyes, gels or patterns are required.
HARMONYPIXEL delivers
results on par with typical ablative lasers, but it eliminates the possible
side effects of older ablative treatments such as hypo- or hyper-pigmentation,
post-operative infection, serious swelling, erythema or edema. Further, it is safe and effective for
use on the face, neck, décolleté, arms
and hands – a much wider scope than traditional ablative technologies.
How does it
work?
The
PIXEL technology delivers tiny dots (pixels) of laser energy into
the skin for either a deep or a superficial tiny
area of injury which causes sub-sequent light peeling of the surface cells to
improve the texture and quality of the dermis while it stimulates collagen
regeneration. Thus, skin resurfacing
with the HARMONYPIXEL
is a gradual process that happens
over several treatments.
A smoother,
tighter and improved skin texture appearance is the result of the triggered
biological response stimulating the formation of remodeled collagen which can
fill the dermis to smooth out fine lines and minor sagging, and diminish the
effects of scarring irregularities.

About the HARMONY ST
HARMONY ST is a pulsed light
emitting device designed for Deep Dermal Heating with a near infrared
module. The effect of controlled
heating, with limited discomfort, serves to stimulate a shortening of the deep
sub dermal fibrous tissue and elastic fibers as well as cause a shortening of
deep fibrous bands between the skin and superficial fascia over the fat and
muscles. This results in a smoothing and tightening of the overlying skin.
To be effective
without discomfort, these treatments are performed intermittently,
approximately 3 weeks apart. Because
of the nature of the deep tissue changes, the effects are slow to develop; but
become apparent several weeks after the series of treatments.
This therapy lends
itself well to being combined with other procedures which affect the more
superficial tissues for an optimal result.
It may be used selectively on the face, neck, arms, hands and abdomen.
Because there is
seldom any short-term change other than some redness of the skin, one can
expect to go from therapy straight to work or go to a social event without pain
or special effort. As with all laser
therapy, the avoidance of sun exposure and tanning beds is paramount – and sun
protection must always be worn after the therapy!

About the HARMONY AFT
HARMONY AFT (Advanced Fluorescence Technology)
is a Pulsed Light based technology for a range of skin treatments. We use it primarily to perform
“Flash-of-Light” or “Foto” Facials to alleviate the redness and pigmentation
variations that are associated with aging and sun-damage of the skin. Sun damaged skin and “Age Spots” of the hands,
forearms and décolleté (chest) may be markedly improved with this
technology. It is also valuable
for controlling Rosacea and the Hyperpigmentation changes related to certain
medications, hormones and following pregnancy.
The use
of Retin-A, Accutane, Obagi, MD Prevage and other similar irritative products, should be stopped for at
least 6 weeks prior to AFT therapy to avoid the possible significant side
effects that could occur from their use.
The therapy is
performed with cooling of the skin to afford a comfortable treatment. And, as with ST
therapy, few short-term changes, other than some redness and perhaps some
slight sensation as with a sun-burn is experienced, so a return to regular
activities is anticipated …with
appropriate sun protection.

COMBINING TREATMENTS
HARMONY LASER 360 Skin Rejuvenation Protocol is
the combining of the 3 therapies described above for optimal skin rejuvenation, scheduling a
set six or seven sessions over an approximate 60 day period. The AFT+
ST for color & tightening are performed first;
then a light PIXEL therapy 7 days later; otherwise, a final AFT+ST
session for color and tightening will be given. Most sessions include light Micro-Dermabrasion treatments first to exfoliate or clear away
superficial dead skin cells so each therapy is more effective. Each PIXEL
treatment will be followed with a Javani gel moisture restoration (hydration)
treatment also.

What to
Expect
HARMONY AFT
(FotoFacial) – After
therapy, there usually is some short term redness of
the skin with slight stinging or burning feeling as with a sun-burn and,
occasionally, temporary bruising and/or discoloration; but long term or
unpredictable side effects, such as scarring and permanent discoloration (pigment
changes) are rare but possible. Some swelling may occur briefly in the
treated and adjacent areas within 24-48 hours, especially around the eyelids
and backs of the hands. Often the
overt redness of blood vessel clusters will quickly disappear and “age spots”
will be darker and, over several days, scale off and be lighter or be gone.
HARMONY ST (Tightening)
-- After
therapy, skin redness and a feeling of warmth and/or “fullness” may be
experienced; but the tightening of the skin is seen slowly over a long period
of time (months) and usually is obvious only after multiple treatments. Occasionally small blisters may occur in
some areas and should be kept clean and coated with antibiotic creams or
ointments.
HARMONY PIXEL –
After therapy,
there will be redness and dryness of the skin with some stinging, as with a
sun-burn; and there will often be a slight pattern seen…almost like having
pressed against a screen door! Some
swelling usually occurs within the next 24-48 hours, especially when treatment is
carried around the eyelids or is aggressive, but requires no special care
unless it becomes excessive. The
dryness requires the use of appropriate moisturizers, etc.
